Our candles are clean-burning and non-toxic. We use a combination of essential oils and skin-safe fragrance oils. All of our fragrances are naturally paraben and phthalate-free, and free of California's Prop 65 ingredients. Our scents follow strict international safety standards and rigorous testing set by IFRA and RIFM and go ABOVE and BEYOND!
We are proud to be partnered with one of the cleanest fragrance houses in the country who have been committed to having the safest, highest quality, most thoroughly tested fragrance lines in our industry, holding up standards that we align with. We are Cruelty-free and formulated without: Sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens , formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates and animal fats. Clean Scents™ are free from carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other potentially hazardous chemicals often found in fragrance.
These are the main “hazard groups” that we simply DO NOT allow.
✖ Phthalates: These are hormone disrupting chemicals.
✖ Parabens: These can act like the hormone estrogen in the body and disrupt the normal function of hormone systems.
✖ Carcinogens: These are materials known or thought to cause cancer.
✖ Mutagens: Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer.
✖ Reproductive toxins: Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects.
✖ Organ toxins: These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs.
✖ Acute toxins: Toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure. Generally, this would be accidental exposure like spillage or ingestion.
